Sustainability not only means a better future for us but for generations to follow.  At Summit we are taking steps to promote a greener lifestyle through many different programs and initiatives.  All new trucks are equipped with Thermo King APU’s which allows for less idle time and fuel consumption.  An EPA Smartway Partner for several years, our equipment meets or exceeds standards established to protect our environment with the addition of certified clean idle engines, alternative power units for driver comfort without idling and low rolling resistance tires on both tractors and trailers.  Power train specifications always focus on lowering our fuel consumption which not only positively impacts our environment but our business as well.  At Summit we consider it the right thing to do!
